We are glad that you have selected to view this section of our web site. You might have chosen to view "God’s grace in action" out of curiosity or because you truly desire to want Jesus Christ to become your Savior and Lord. The following 5 key points are God’s wonderful words to you personally to help you understand His love. We hope that the next few minutes you spend reading will change your life forever, and help you to understand God more intimately.

1. The first key point to understand is that you have a spiritual need. The Bible says we are all sinners. That certainly is not a term we like to hear. The Greek word for sin is harmatia, which literally means "to miss the mark." The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It means we have all missed the mark of being perfect before God and are need of a Savior. God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die that we might have eternal life.

2.  The second key point to understand is what is the result of sin. The result of sin can be found in Romans 6:23 which says, "The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." If we continue in sin, we will lose our life to a place called hell, which is a place of eternally torment. Although we do not like to think about it, hell is a real place. It also needs to be understood that God never sends anyone to hell. The reality of it is that we send ourself by rejecting the truth of God’s Word.

3.  The third key point is that we can never solve the problem of sin on our own. We need help. We need God. The Bible says in John 3:16 and 17, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." Through our acceptance of Jesus Christ, we can have forgiveness of our sins. That means God will forgive all the mistakes we have made in life and forget them for ever. God has demonstrated his love for us according to Romans 5:8, which says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

4.  Key point number four is simply acknowledging that you are a sinner, confess your sins to God and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. First John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." That is a great promise! By simply asking God, it is a guarantee that you will be saved. Don’t reject God's solution and accept the consequences, but rather accept His Son, Jesus Christ, and allow God to fill your life with the hope of His redeeming love.

5.  Key point number five is simply your response. Will you accept God’s offer of eternal life by accepting His Son, Jesus Christ? Only you can make that choice. Salvation is a gift. How do you receive a gift? You receive a gift by simply taking it. The Bible says in John 1:12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." If you are ready to receive Jesus Christ as your personal savior, then pray from true sincerity the following prayer, and you will be saved. The Bible says in Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Pray the Prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus. I realize now that I am a sinner and in need of a Savior. I know now that you died on a cross for me and shed Your blood so I could be saved. I confess all my sins and ask that You forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Save me now. I turn from my sins, and I open the door of my heart and life to You to come in and live in me. I receive You as my personal Savior. Thank You for saving me.

If you have prayed this prayer and have truly meant it with a sincere heart, you are now saved. All of your sins, mistakes and past failures have been forgiven and God not longer will remember them. God has made you a promise in Psalms 103:12, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." It also means you are now going to heaven one day. That’s a lot to be thankful for. We are excited about your decision and welcome you to a new life in God. Send us an email at pastor@gracefamilyministries.org and let us know of your decision to receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord. We want to pray for you. We wish to recommend three practical steps that will help you grow in your new life in God: read you Bible every day, pray and ask God for His help and guidance, and go to church. God bless you!
